Traversing landscape is a recurring theme in my work.

My recent paintings show chance encounters between humans and water birds. Land is represented along with rivers, lakes or the sea. Water birds and humans are depicted as if engaged in strange conversations as they struggle to find or maintain their footing.

Where have you been? Where are you going? How do you stand? The visual spaces in my paintings nourish the persistence of these questions.
